Carte has developed a strong skill set in manufacturing engineered-to-order three phase submersible transformers. We are able to design products that specifically meet the rigorous needs that often confront submersible transformer installations.
Our submersible products feature all the key components mounted on the transformer cover, although sidewall mounted terminals and gauges are also possible. Components are often welded to he transformer tank. The submersible transformer tanks are robust, made from heavy gauge plate and heavy plate cooling panels. Our products comply with IEEE and CSA transformer standards and are available in oil and FR3 filled options.
The list of available options is extensive. Carte has a strength in designing submersible products to meet existing vault dimensions or other unusual installation constraints. Cover mounted fusing interlocked to a primary loadbreak switch is a common request. Gauges, special bushings, custom layout of components and special markings are routine for our design requirements. Stainless steel tank options (304L or 316L) are also regularly requested for this product category.
